Do you find yourself deliberating on which smartphone is the
perfect one for you to buy? Can the choice get any harder when you are faced
with hundreds of latest electronic gadgets offering so much? The choice for a new cellphone has become a kind
of examination of sorts wherein we research and study for weeks, sometimes
months, compare different companies and still remain undecided on a particular
device. Although there is a smartphone about to be released that will allow us
to choose the specifications we want, for now, we have to make do with whatever
we are offered. So, for those of you who are interested in buying a phone now,
here are some of the latest mobile specifications
to look for and the devices in which you can find them.
Display
This is probably the first thing we notice when we look a
device. The clarity and crispness of a screen is what we usually look for. There
are various types of displays that smartphone makers are incorporating into
their devices. Some of the best are AMOLED, Super AMOLED, Retina Display,
BRAVIA Engine, NOVA and Super LCD. These screens are used in almost every
device available at the moment. From the budget phones to the high end ones,
these displays can be seen on the iPhone from Apple, the Galaxy series from
Samsung, the HTC range and even on the Xiaomi range of devices.
Camera
Another important feature most of look for is the camera
quality of the phone. Now-a-days, devices come with both front and back cameras
and we want the best of both worlds. It is true that there is a Nokia device
that houses an unbelievable 41 megapixel camera called the Nokia 808 PureView
but apart from that, the phones now come with a range of 8 to 16 megapixel rear
facing cameras and up to 13 megapixel front facing cameras. The best known
phones for their camera quality are the iPhone’s, the Galaxy and Note series
from Samsung, the Xperia series from Sony and even some low end budget phones
like the Micromax Canvas Selfie A255 which has a 13 megapixel front and back
camera.
Memory and Operating System
With smartphones doing so much for us on a regular basis, we
need space and lots of it. The normal 4 GB will no longer suffice and we are
now looking at a maximum of 128 GB and everything in between. We are now
watching movies, playing games and downloading apps like there’s no tomorrow
without a bother because we know that there is enough of space to hold our
wants. The operating system is another important feature for the smartphone
user of today. We always need to be up to date so that we are not left back and
looking for more. Android launched their newest addition in the form of Android
6.0 (Marshmallow) recently and that is what we all want.
Size, Weight and Battery
Three very important features we just cannot do without. We
want something big but not too big that it looks awkward in our hands. Most of
the phones are now reaching an average of around 5 inches. We want a phone that
is not too heavy yet not too lightweight where we might not realize that we
have it on us. The average weight of these latest smartphones are nothing more
than around 150-160 grams. And lastly, we need a powerful battery to operate
our perfect phone and everything that comes with it. Anywhere between 3000 mAh
and 4000 mAh is a suitable amount of power for these devices.
