With just a few days to go in August that brings us into
September and the last 4 months of the year, we can look back at the previous 8
months and see what all it had to offer us in the world of technology.
Smartphones have really come a long way from the start of the year and we do
not know what the future has in store. So, let’s take this time to sift through
the top 5 latest smartphones that
hit us during these 8 months.
Motorola had somewhat taken a step into the shade when it came
to the production of smartphones for a while but they made sure to come back
with a bang and so they did. The Moto Tubo is one of the most powerful phones
in the market today sporting an enormous 3900 mAh battery along with the
well-known Motorola Turbo Charger with which the phone can reach up to 7 hours
of battery backup in a ridiculous time of 15 minutes charging. The heavy duty
battery powers a Quad-Core 2.7 GHz Snapdragon processor. The Moto Turbo’s 3GB
RAM and 64GB internal space are the other big features and the 5.2 inch AMOLED
display is more than a crowd pleaser. If these features are not enough, the 21
megapixel back camera and 2 megapixel front camera should do it. The device is
water and dust repellant and runs android Lollipop 5.0.
Who doesn’t love an Apple? Not the fruit obviously, but the
company product. The iPhone has been on a “top” list since its first appearance
and the iPhone 6 is no different. It may not be the best in the market but it
is definitely u there when it comes to its features. With a 4.7 inch LCD
display and a 1.4 GHz processor, the iPhone 6 is a pretty good device. There is
an option of 16, 64 and 128 GB space for the Phone and houses a 1GB RAM.
Although the camera is just 8 megapixel, the quality of the images can be
comparted to those of digital camera. The front camera is 1.2 megapixel camera
that takes amazing selfies.
3. LG G4
Known as one of the biggest names in the smartphone
manufacturing industry, LG’s newest launch, the G4, delivers on its reputation.
The 5.5 HD display is the first thing people notice about the phone but in
reality, it is so much more than just a good looker. Inside, the 3GB RAM and
the 1.8 GHz processor is powerful enough to run the device smoothly. But the
main feature is that the G4 has an inbuilt memory of 32GB and a huge expandable
memory of 2TB through a micro SD card. With 16 and 8 megapixel camera, clicking
crisp, clear images becomes a pleasure. The LG G4 runs on 5.1 Lollipop from
Android.
2. OnePlus 2
The sequel to the OnePlus 1, this phone is also defined as a
“flagship killer” and it proves to be just that. Running on a Snapdragon 810
processor teamed with a 4GB RAM, this device provides more than enough speed to
the user. The display is a 5.5 inch one and is protected by Corning Gorilla
Glass 3. Although there is no external expansion for the memory, the 64GB
inbuilt space should suffice for most users. There is a 13 MP and 5 MP camera
on the back and front respectively. The fingerprint sensor is the newest and
most awaited feature of the OnePlus 2 fans.
This Korean based company is definitely the top runner in
smartphones and look like they will stay there for some time now. Samsung’s
Galaxy series has been outstanding over the years and none other than their S6
has taken the top spot. Made from nothing but glass and metal, this phone is
killer looker. A 5.1 inch HD Super AMOLED screen makes for an incredible
viewing experience. A 3GB RAM makes for easy and smooth multitasking. The 16MP
and 5MP cameras shoot images that would fill professional photographers with
envy. Like the OnePlus 2, the S6 also has a fingerprint sensor for ultimate
protection.
